3 Ways To Incorporate Self Care Into The Holidays
The holidays can be a stressful time, this year even more so. This year is so different than any other year we have experienced. So, I am excited to share some ways you can prioritize your self-care this holiday season.
The more you practice self-care and fill up your own cup you can be in a better headspace to enjoy the holiday seasons.
Here are three ways to incorporate more self-care:
1. Pamper Routine
This can be anything you want. You can take a bubble bath, skincare routine, hair care routine, or a face mask.
Make sure you take your typical routine a step further and light some candles or try out some new skincare products.
Pampering yourself is a great way to focus on yourself, relax, and wind down from the day. Plus you will feel great!
2. Quality Girls Night
You might be spending a lot of time being social during the holidays, maybe participating in zoom parties or small gatherings, depending on where you are in the world. Sometimes you just need a girl's night to help you unwind and decompress.
It is fun to spend time with your close friend circle in a light-hearted, relaxed way. This could be wrapping fits together, baking cookies, having a pajama party with a glass of wine.
Spending time with your closest friends is a great way to recharge. If you can’t do it in person, you can always host a virtual girls' night!
Bonus: host a white elephant self-care themed gift exchange with the girls!
You can easily make this cost-effective and set a spending limit. Each person can put together a little self-care package to bring to the exchange.
3. Take Breaks
The holidays are usually, go, go, go, so it’s important to remind yourself to take breaks.
Listen to your inner guidance if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, and you’ve been going all day, give yourself permission to stop and take a break. Don’t try to power through the stress and overwhelm.
Take a moment to grab a coffee, tea, or to meditate and do breathing work, whatever resonates with you.
That way your wellbeing and your peace of mind are always a top priority. There is no better what to show yourself self-care by allowing yourself to take breaks when you need them.
I hope you enjoyed these tips!
Even once we move past the holiday season, I hope you take these tips with you and continue to prioritize your self-care. It’s a great way to be proactive and prevent future burnout or overwhelm.
Stay tuned every Tuesday at 4PM EST for another blog post!
I’ll talk to you soon!
Much love,
