Why do we spring clean everything but our beliefs?

Our minds are like a garden! 🪴

We need to remove the old outdated belief systems to make room for the new ones just like creating space for new seeds to be planted.

Here’s how I like to spring clean my beliefs…

1) Write down new intentions in the present tense.

2) Become aware of which beliefs systems are not aligned with these intentions.

3) Write them out on a paper seperate from my journal.

4) Utilize subconscious mind techniques like meditations, and neuro-linguistic programming to help shift these beliefs.

5) Burn the pages where I wrote the old beliefs.

6) Create new affirmations based on beliefs that support my intentions!

Penciling in time for this work sets the stage for new intentions and beliefs to be planted!

I learned something important that was a game changer for goal setting….

Just like flowers we are seasonal beings!

If we just stop to look around at nature, it is such a mirror for us.

I have to admit I used to struggle with this! 🙋🏽‍♀️

When I was building my business on the journey to becoming a full-time entrepreneur I was in “hustling mode” with working 6 days a week at my job, taking 3 courses, and building my business.

Even though impact drove me there was a major problem.

I wasn’t watering my garden!

I didn’t prioritize my well-being and that led to major exhaustion and burnout. 😩

How by hustling harder, doing more than being and ignoring the signs my body was asking me to slow down.

I’m recent years I have done something different!

Created habits to water my garden and personal well-being first before getting into my business.

Making my mornings sacred has allowed for me to have consistent energy throughout the day, improve my health and mindset and by proxy help my business.

If there are moments when my well-being needs to be prioritized over business tasks, I do so guilt free.

This past week I had a cold and was able to reschedule my work day without guilt.

If that has happened a couple years ago I would have pushed through to put my business first over my health.

What allowed for the change❓

Integrating practices like morning workouts and walks, journalling, affirmations and visualizations first before starting my work day.

And honouring my well-being without guilt even if that means rescheduling my work days!

Realizing that everything is happening FOR ME not TO ME! 🙌🏼

Let me explain….

Entrepreneurship is the biggest personal development journey!

As we grow, and evolve, we are invited to do things we have never done before like…..

- embodying a new business title
- selling an offer
- becoming a content creator
- and wearing many hats

And what comes with that is impact, fulfilment, success along with fear, obstacles, and uncertainties.

With uncertainty comes anxiety because we are not sure of what’s coming next.

That can paralyze us in fear and cause us to silence ourselves and our missions along the way. 😔

It can create spirals of self criticism and feel like us becoming victims to our own inner dialogues.

Everything I share above I’ve been through first hand.

There have been many anxious moments along my journey as an entrepreneur.

Can you relate?

If so, here’s what helped me exponentially through this.

The realization that everything is happening for me not to me.

Any fear that emerges or obstacle that comes up along the way is happening for the best❗️

It’s not tarnishing my business but enhancing it.

They come up to clear for my personal growth and as I heal and transmute them I can help others do the same. 💗

Fears and obstacles happen for me and my growth not to me to hurt it.

As they continue to come up along the way, I embrace this uplifting approach and can heal them with more grace and without judgement.

My friend, if anxiety, uncertainty, fear and obstacles come up along the way don’t let them silence you.

This has been one of my biggest lessons in entrepreneurship so far.

I used to fall victim to what I like to call “destination syndrome”

I define it as waiting to achieve a goal in order to feel all the feelings I shared above.

It can be compared to when you are on a road trip as a kid and you ask your parents “are we there yet?”

We might not even be aware that this is happening. It happens subconsciously. 🧠

As Entrepeneurs, we can sometimes fall victim to allowing our external world define our success.

With all the focus on money, the number of followers, how many clients we have determining how we should feel inside.

I know I had a lot of “am I there yet” mentality subconsciously determining how I felt about myself as an entrepreneur and my business.

Can you relate to feeling less than on the journey to bringing your vision to life? 👋🏼

If so, these are some frames of mind that helped me let go of the “destination syndrome” and enjoy the journey of bringing my vision to life.

Acceptance of where I am in the present,
Allowing for the seasons of business to unfold,
Focusing on the people behind the numbers,
Enjoying every single step along the way,
Being fully present with every client interaction whether it be responding to a comment on socials or being all in on a client call,
Remembering the deep ripple effect I can make on one person at a time.

What if…..

are two words that hold a lot of power❗️

Whatever follows them can create an energy or possibility or discouragement.

As entrepreneurs we may hear the voice in our head say those words along discouraging words like..

What if…
I fail?
They don’t buy from me?
I don’t succeed?
I am an imposter?
I can’t do it?

Do these sound familiar?

I have heard these along my journey and can assure you all entrepreneurs have too.

It’s normal to have them come up especially when you are taking steps outside your comfort zone and are doing things you have never done before.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to know that we all experience these thoughts because at times we may feel alone with these thought tracks.

I know I have on my journey. 👋🏼

Especially in seasons of transition when I see others succeed and it appears to be easeful for them.

I have news for you.

We have the power to transform the discouraging what ifs into encouraging ones. 👊🏼

How?

By rewiring your subconscious mind. 🧠

In moments in life and business we may feel discouraged and disappointed but we always have the power to process the situations and choose a more empowering reality.

Let’s put these kind of what ifs on replay!

What if…
I succeed?
The universe has my back?
My intentions manifest with ease?
The impact I make is bigger than I can imagine?

With these what ifs creating the energy of possibility the sky is the limit in our businesses.

That practice gives us a chance to be aware of what’s going on in our mind of ours.

So give it a try. Today pencil in a few minutes to cultivate awareness.

Awareness is the first step to creating change. 💫

What triggers fear most in personal growth❓

There’s a higher purpose for every stage of business.

The brainstorming phase teaches us to dream big 💭

The first chapter of business helps us learn which strategies feel best for us.

And the moment where our fears hit us hard and obstacles present themselves along the way teach us the most profound lessons we are meant to learn along the way.

Lessons like:
- the meaning of true resilience
- what true abundance is
- to choose impact over profits
- how to set boundaries
- the importance of the mind, body, soul connection
- the meaning of true surrender and self-trust
- and how our story can make an impact

Those were some of my biggest lessons along the way!

Learning these lessons can bring upon some difficulties that unfortunately cause some business owners to give up.

When we choose to not bypass the hard times and uncover the lessons, our true metamorphosis and impact can take place. 🦋

Understanding the stages in business.

As we scroll on socials we see other business owners flaunt their sold out offers, high figure months and stories how they hit their goals with ease.

When we see that being possible, we grow to expect the same for our journeys.

We grow to expect 5 figure months, attracting new clients with ease and business always on an upward trajectory.

The reality is Instagram is a highlight reel. 📱

Those same people sharing the wins may not be sharing a pause in business growth, internal struggles or unexpected obstacles.

In my entrepreneur journey there have been the highest highs as well as some lows along the way.

It wasn’t until I began to understand the phases of entrepreneurship that I felt freedom from the expectations I placed on myself that derived from social media. It’s so freeing to let them go with this realization so they no longer weigh you down.

It’s also remarkable to realized how deeply they are connected to a butterfly’s stages of metamorphosis.

I have to admit…. 🙈

I used to avoid change.

For me change used to mean
Uncomfortability,
The unknown,
Uncertainty
And even a lack of safety.

I would bypass it as much as I could so I could “push forward” and try and make my goals a reality.

You know what a byproduct of that was?

Stuckness and stagnancy. 😑

I would manifest my heart out and things wouldn’t work out the way I planned.

As much as I was pushing forward I wasn’t getting to where I wanted to be as much as I tried.

I felt called the share it the moment I heard it!

What?! You made fear your friend❓

Yes, you read that right!

Let me explain…

When I started my business friend was my foe!

It felt like it only got in the way of bringing my vision to life.

Things would feel like they were going great!

My business and I were growing, I was doing things I had never done before then boom a fear would come up! 🫣

Fears like…
not being good enough,
the unknown,
And failing!

I’m sure as an entrepreneur you have come across your own fears along the way.

As they emerged I’d push them to the side, villainize them and continue pushing forward.

Can you guess what happened next?

They’d persist.

They would continue to come up to be healed once and for all.

Until I waved my white flag and surrendered to them, it felt like an uphill battle. 🏳️

As I continue to grow and as fears come up, it looks different now.

I sit down with fears like a friend and have internal dialogue about them.

Journalling them out, becoming aware of what comes up and become super grateful for them and the lessons they bring me! ✍🏼

Remember this, fears is your friend and can bring you a wealth of knowledge and lessons to help you, your business and even your clients grow!

Sometimes we don’t use it to the fullest.

Why?

Discouragement sets in and we get stuck in our heads.

Whether we realize it our not we can lose sight of our missions due to expectations not being met.

Where do they come from?

Scrolling on socials! 📱

We see our peers engagement numbers on their posts,
Others high income months,
And their client wins.

Due to our deep desire to help others we want the same and expect just as we start our businesses out the gates we will have clients rolling in, income growing exponentially and engagement skyrocketing.

My friends, remember this, trade expectations for appreciation!

Allow your mission to drive you to choosing to move forward no matter what

And let go of the numbers! Turn them off as you post.

We have to remember there are people behind the numbers and as they step into their transformation they make a ripple effect too.

Most of our impact is unseen.

If we stop, the reality is our mission won’t be accomplished so keep going!
